I’m all for discreet dating, I feel it serves a purpose. The only platform that allows this (successfully at least) is Ashley Madison. The part that drives me nuts with Ashley Madison is their Ashley Madison mobile platform. In my opinion, I feel this is a total Ashley Madison scam.

So I went to the Yankees Mets game this past weekend at the new Yankees Stadium with my girlfriend. It was 90 degrees, a slight breeze, the best day to watch a game (and to get a tan!). While we were watching the game, there was a guy sitting in front of us that I swore looked like Simon Cowell, but about 30 pounds heavier. In true Jamie fashion, I went into investigative mode (more like stalker nosey mode!)
As I have my head over his shoulder, I see he’s checking his emails, nothing too scandalous. Then he clicks on some link and is logging into his AshleyMadison.com account! I was elbowing my girlfriend to check this out. You see, on our long train ride into the Bronx, we had an issue of Maxim magazine. In it, was the two page article about AshleyMadison.com. Our interest was on heighten alert.
So I had to know if Ashley Madison scams their users of if this is the ultimate cheaters paradise. I’ve cheated and been cheated on , so I totally get both sides of the fence here. The crazy thing is having a market place that allows you to essentially pick your affair. In my eyes, I thought I ashley madison scams any member that decides to pay for their service.
After the 4th inning, I started chatting up the Cowell look-a-like. After some chatting, I came to learn he’s separated from his wife and took his son to the game. I of course couldn’t resist, and I mention that I saw you are a member of Ashley Madison, how is it? I thought this guy would have turned into a ghost on me with that, but he took it in stride. What I found the most interesting were the conversations with the married men I had. They were honest, go figure! I mean, they had no problems telling me why their marriage / relationship wasn’t working and what they were looking for. The total opposite of most dating sites where married men join and tell you they’re single (then to find out that his wife is a psycho texter to me, yes true story).
Ultimately at the end of the day, I think this Ashley Madison scam is true nonsense. You have some genuine guys that are going through some real issues in their relationships. Basically they are being honest about it, to everyone but their wife, but who am I to judge. I would tell any unhappily married man or woman, even any single man or woman looking for a unique relationship, to give this subculture a try.
